A little L&UL news today: I’m very excited to announce I’ll part of the School of Visual Arts Design Criticism ongoing Readings series at KGB Bar in NYC on 23 January 2008. Get all the details at SVA D-Crit’s website here. Fellow readers include Slate’s music critic Jody Rosen, Dot Dot Dot editor Stuart Bailey, and the great New Yorker critic Sasha Frere-Jones. Gawker has a fun, quick interview with Sasha (although they momentarily confuse him for brother Tobias) which I like primarily for this quote: “The blog is a nice model for storage, too. The words and photos are on one private server, but millions of personal computer nodes. It’s a public file cabinet.” I totally agree.
