The lovely photography-based art magazine Blind Spot has redesigned their website, which now includes a great archive of their past issues. To start, you might want to spend a little time with Brandon Lattu’s wonderful portfolio “Superlatives and Neighbors” from issue 37.

I would love to meet Felix Burrichter sometime. Not only do I love his own magazine PIN-UP, which is beautifully designed by Geoffrey Han and Dylan Fracareta, but his taste in magazines, as evidenced by this write up for T’s blog The Moment, is impeccable. Here’s a bit of exciting news: editor John Walters has purchased Eye Magazine from Haymarket Media Group. Very eager to see where John and his group will take the magazine next.

Designer Lesley Moore has outdone herself on the latest issue of Mark, a Dutch architecture magazine from the makers of Frame (via magCulture).

“This approach does not try to parcel the world into sections. Rather, it is a quest for understanding everything as interconnected. The cabinet of curiosity, the precursor to the specialized museum of today, is obviously a reference point for us in all this and the source of our name. This quest is an impossible one, but the desire for it needs to be encouraged because it implies an ethics, namely to care for what the world is, to care to find out how it became this way, and to care to find out how we can change it.” Cabinet Magazine’s thoughtful and articulate editor Sina Najafi is interviewed at Artkrush.

The now online-only Premiere magazine offers a list of the 25 Best Movie Posters Ever. Saul Bass dominates this list, and justifiedly so, but for something a little different, check out Erik Nitsche’s great poster for All About Eve, Steve Frankfurt’s fantastic (though uncredited) poster for Rosemary’s Baby, or Frankfurt’s restrained black-and-white poster for Downhill Racer.
